2012 was such a roller coaster of a year. I had fabulous weddings with clients, and spent some much needed time with my family. 2012 review…
The year started off with a bang with Sara and Ryan at the
Chicago Cultural Center. I easily fell in love with the space, and it was the perfect spring color scheme: blush pink and charcoal gray.
Kehoe Designs did the gorgeous floral designs, and I couldn’t have been happier with the way their wedding turned out.
In May, I celebrated with Adam and Kamile. One of my favorite moments from that day is the card that Adam made Kamile. To me, it perfectly encompassed the love they have for one another, and you could clearly see they are best friends. Plus, it had Ryan Gosling in it. Hello, how fabulous is that?
In June, I moved to a fabulous new neighborhood that I absolutely adore: Wicker Park, and I fell in love with this handsome guy:
Oh, and yours truly celebrated a birthday! Here I am at Sarah & Bill’s wedding, the day before my birthday, playing with their fabulous sparklers. Had to make sure they worked! Did I mention they were two feet long?
In August, I celebrated Mandy and Mike’s wedding. How gorgeous is this couple? I adored how close their whole bridal party was to one another, and Mandy introduced me to future bride: Kate.
September was a whirlwind of a month. Three fabulous couples: Mili and Ian, Dara and Matt and Natalie and Ernesto. I first met Natalie and Ernesto at Misty and Earl’s wedding. After watching Natalie and Ernesto salsa dancing, I totally fell for their charm. I just had to say yes when they asked me to be apart of their day.
In September, my dad also lost his nearly five year battle with lung cancer. Thank you to all my amazing couples, friends and family for your kind words. It was so nice to know I had great support all around. Here’s a recent photo of us from last January. He sure was a fighter.
In October, Deena and Mark married. I was obsessed with the ombré theme. The wedding was so personal, down to the perfect
Oscar de la Renta shoes. Oh, and I wanted to steal Deena’s dress. Some extra yellow tulle completed the ombré theme.
Then before I knew it, the holidays were here, and I spent some much needed time with family. My mom and I did tons of
volksmarches around the St. Louis area and I played lots with my pup. Here is my mom and I on Christmas.
Then, just like that, 2012 was over. It sure was an eventful year. I am so excited for what this year has in store. Stay tuned!
